Monthly Archives: September 2009

Thank you to the judges, cooks, supporters!

It’s hard to believe that we are finished the Fourth Annual Chili-Soup Cook Off, but that means it is time to thank everyone who helped make it more successful than ever!

Thank you so much to Mark and Amber Derrig for hosting in their beautiful home, and willingly building a tent in their back yard. A perfect setting once again!

Thank you to U.S. Congresswoman Betty Sutton for joining us again this year, it was such a treat to see you!

Thank you to Ilene Shapiro and Paula Prentice from Summit County Council for attending, and our esteemed Judges Williams, Larson, and Fallis – they had a very difficult decision to make choosing our winners:

Chili winners:
First Place – Todd Leyda
Second Place – Jim Wallace

Soup winners:
First Place – John Poda
Second Place – Adam VanHo

Finally, thank you so much to everyone who attended and made our evening so special and memorable. Your support means so much to me!
